Supposed to blog sooner than this.. Especially on friday itself which was such a cherry blossom day. But unfortunately fell sick on that day and so pretty much needed rest.
Although down with flu, that Friday was still THE DAY to look forward to. Met up with Jacq and Michelle. Oh yea can you believe it, Michelle is my primary school classmate. Our paths meet again. :)
Here's Michelle.. I should put a before and after picture. I still have her pri sch pic. Lol :x Well anyway, after shopping with her for a little while, Jacq and I went off to Clementi to have our dinner. While walking, there was the aroma of doughnuts and we decided to follow the nice smell and we found the Yummy donut shop. Jacq got the Lemon and I got the Apple. We didn't eat it immediately..
Had our dinner at the the hawker centre then it was off to NUS cultural centre for Corrinne May's concert! You know, I shan't go into the details how we manage to get there. But as usual, Jacqueline did some blunders and thankfully I questioned her sense of direction. Hoho..
We were early when we got there so we went to get Corrinne's cd first. Design of the cover was great. Nostalgic feeling.. well.. it was highly anticipating to get into the hall to our seats and let the concert get started. But the doors were not even open yet so we had our yummy doughnuts.
Finally after much patience, the concert started. All I can say it started off with a BANG and ended with a BOOM. Meaning of course, it was great. From the first song, Angel in Disguise to the last song Save Me, it was awesome. Such a talented songwriter with good vocals and her lyrics and all so meaningful. So after that, we even queued about an hour plus for her autograph.
It was definitely worth the wait. Went up to her to get her autograph while telling her "Love your songs" and the replied came, "And I love your specs... where to you get it from?" Haha it came quite suddenly and I paused for quite a while before replying "The Cathay.." Yes and of course no picture no talk, we took a picture together! Jacq and I wanted to get individual shots too but she was just too nice to ask and believe me, the queue behind might murder us. Yeah feeling so sick but I managed to force a natural smile...
It was a splendid day. Totally fell more sick the next day. Hope I don't lose my voice.
Ok gotta get ready to go out for lunch soon. Grandma birthday celebration. =)
